The Ministry of the Environment (MoE) provides institutional support based on the DKRVO concept, which was prepared in accordance with the Research and Development Concept of the Ministry of the Environment for 2016–2025 and which represents a general framework for the research institute‘s activities in 2018–2022, whereby its specific activities for a given calendar year are detailed in an annex regarding the provision of institutional support for the DKRVO.
In addition, the CGS is engaged in many other research projects at the national level carried out through individual ministries of the Czech Republic (Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Transport, etc.), as well as the Czech Science Foundation, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, and other institutes and companies.
Within the scope of broad international cooperation, the CGS is engaged in a number of projects involving bilateral agreements, foreign development cooperation, various types of EU projects, EEA and Norway Grants, and environmental or cross-border cooperation operational programmes.
CGS research activities also include internal research projects.
