CGS collections staff organised a very successful international conference

RNDr. Marika Polechová, Ph. D. and RNDr. Martina Nohejlová, Ph.D., working in the Collections Department of the CGS organized a very successful online meeting of the IGCP 735 project Rocks and the Rise of Ordovician Life (Rocks n' ROL) from 18 November to 20 November 2024. The meeting was attended by over 70 participants and contributed significantly to the exchange of information and to the deepening of knowledge on the process of the notable increase in species and lineage diversity of virtually all groups of organisms in the Ordovician. The organisation of the meeting was a very prestigious affair and it was a great success. We sincerely thank both colleagues and their collaborators for their extraordinary commitment!
