Download services defined by the INSPIRE directive are network services enabling downloads of complete spatial datasets. The CGS chose to publish datasets via the ATOM feed format, with only some international projects requiring publication via WFS. A landslide dataset generated to be INSPIRE-compliant from the Slope Deformations Inventory containing basic data on recorded and field-verified slope deformations in the Czech Republic (landslides, earthflows, rockfalls, etc.)

The download service (WFS 2.0 format) provides basic information on deposits and prognostic resources, their occurrence and exploration and on mining leases in the Czech Republic.
Based on the CGS Open Data Publishing Plan, datasets are gradually being prepared as open data. Their current list is available in the National Open Data Catalogue. The data are published in the WGS84 coordinate system and can be downloaded in GeoJSON format.
The user account serves both applications, if you already have a user for the GDO application, mark this information off in the ASGI viewer order form. Because the viewer and GDO applications are interlinked, it is possible, for instance, to view an archive report, in which an object is included, provided that the report is scanned.
Data is provided to a limited extent according to specified criteria, either according to some attribute values or according to spatial restrictions.
Data can be obtained either as key or complete information.

An approval by the Ministry of the Environment is required for providing data in the case of requests for geophysical data (RNDr. Martin Holý, Ministry of the Environment, Geology Department, Vršovická 65, 100 10 Prague 10).

The Czech Geological Survey provides free data to students working on bachelor’s or master‘s theses or doctoral dissertations to the maximum extent specified in the Price list. Students are provided with all data upon submitting a confirmed student request and upon signing a transfer protocol, which includes a licence agreement on the use of the provided data. Students only pay an hourly rate for work related to the provision of data in the case of complex data processing.

Fees for providing data are specified indata-pricelist.pdf (323.97 KB). Data are provided at contract prices only in the case of concluded contracts.
A contract on the transfer and subsequent use of data must be concluded if a large amount of data is required.
Requests are processed in the order in which they are received by the CGS, in the shortest possible amount of time.
In urgent cases, it is possible to arrange for requests to be expedited.
For more complex orders, the CGS has a one-month deadline for processing data. The data are usually transmitted by email.
For orders whose price exceeds CZK 3,000, it is necessary to sign a data acceptance protocol, which includes a licence agreement on the use of data.
