On November 20–21, 2023, a working meeting was held in the CGS meeting room in Kostelní as part of the project "Innovation of Geological Information Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina." The meeting was attended by senior representatives of the project partners – the Federal Geological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Geological Service of the Republic of Srpska, the Czech Development Agency, and the CGS team led by Dana Čápová.
The main objective of the meeting was to present and finally approve the technical infrastructure proposal prepared by the CGS. Other important topics included the review and approval of the certified training proposal, discussion of the communication plan with universities, and the plan for popularization and public awareness. As the end of the first year of the project is approaching, an overview of activities in 2023 and a plan of activities for 2024 were presented.
The first day of the meeting was devoted to a technical workshop focused on inventorying existing data and data processing systems, as well as digitizing and presenting CGS archival documents as a model for analyzing and preparing a similar workflow and application support in Bosnia.
