The new official website of the Czech Geological Survey (CGS) in English, which is officially launching today, brings a significant change in content and graphic design. It is based on a modern technological solution, which is also used by other Ministry of the Environment departmental organisations and which will provide the Czech Geological Survey with a stable tool for presenting its activities and services for years to come.
We believe that users will be pleased with the simplification of the structure and content of the website and thus easier access to the required information. The website is also fully responsive and therefore adapted for use on mobile phones and other devices. Navigation through the site is now solved by a single Menu button, which will take you to any page in any section. For better and faster navigation of the website and the institution's services, we have added a new menu called "What do you need?", which is accessible from the header of every page of the website.
These signposts and links to applications and other Czech Geological Survey web presentations are now more closely linked to the metadata, allowing for quick and easy updating across the site.
The Czech Geological Survey has launched a website under the gov.cz domain, to which the websites of other Czech state organisations are gradually being moved. Instead of www.geology.cz, you will now find us at cgs.gov.cz
