The Zamtyn Nuruu-50 Project has been completed successfully

The Czech Republic foreign development aid project concerning mapping of the Altai Mts. in Mongolia at a scale of 1:50,000 (Zamtyn Nuruu-50), which had been managed and realized by the Czech Geological Survey from the year 2003, was completed at the beginning of 2007 and its results handed over to the Mongolian partners in Ulaanbaatar on 29 May, 2007. The final report, containing 400 text pages, seven textual and graphic supplements, 88 lists of maps, and a geoscience information system of the mapped area, was very successfully defended in the presence of the Mongolian Stratigraphic Commission, representatives of the Mineral Resourses and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia, Mongolian Technical and Science Universities, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Geological Research Centre, as well as a representative of the Ambassy of the Czech Republic in Mongolia and the deputy managing director of the CGS.
