The implementation mission of the Czech Geological Survey (CGS) staff in Sarajevo took place on 14-15 January 2025 within the framework of the project Innovation of Geological Information Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mission successfully completed the installation and initial configuration of the newly acquired IT equipment, resulting in the creation of a robust and secure IT infrastructure for the Geological Service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FZZG). Key activities included the establishment of a server room with proper cooling and network connectivity, installation and interconnection of critical hardware components such as servers, storage systems, firewalls and switches.
Both organisations agreed on future steps, including the development of detailed documentation, online workshops and the migration of existing systems to the new infrastructure.
