On June 20–22, 2024, a working meeting of partners of the project Innovation of Geological Information Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina took place in Prague. In addition to representatives of geological services, guests from Bosnian universities also attended – Svjetlana Sredić, Dean of the Faculty of Mining in Prijedor (University of Banja Luka), and Sabid Zekan, Vice-Dean of the University of Tuzla.
One of the main goals of the meeting was the participation of Bosnian partners in the Geological Day of the CGS, which the institution organized on June 20–21, 2024, at the CGS headquarters in Prague-Klárov. The event presented a wide range of CGS activities and could serve as inspiration for organizing similar popularization events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We also presented the project and its activities to our university partners, and information about it was also published in the newsletter Svět geologie 1/2024.
