Opening of the art exhibition entitled My piece of Earth 2008

March 21, the first day of spring, became a symbolic moment marked by the opening of the children’s art competition My Piece of Earth organized by the Czech Geological Survey and Ministry of the Environment. In the second year of the exhibition, the content of the work is to be a story in drawing related to the environment protection. The children are welcome create a story concerned with the protection of or, on the other hand, damage to the environment on our planet. The aim of the competition is to involve the children in the reflection of the environmental condition, inspire consideration of alterations to the current ecological activities as well as draw their attention to the meaning of geosciences for human life.
