A CGS map edition "Basic geological map of the CzechRepublic at a scale 1 : 25 000 - UNESCO Geopark Bohemian Paradise" (L. Švábenická et al.) has been awarded a prestigious award Map of the year 2013 in the category of atlases, sets and editions of maps. These awards are given by the Cartographic Society of the Czech Republic. Award ceremony took place during the CARTOCON 2014 conference in Olomouc on February 28th, 2014. This award is a significant appreciation of the work of the cartographic team of the Czech Geological Survey (E. Kunceová, M. Zemková, P. Hanžl, Z. Krejčí).In the years 2007 and 2012, “Geological Map of the Czech Republic 1:500 000” and the publication „Building and Decorative Stones of Prague and the Central Bohemia Region“, respectively, from the production of the Czech Geological Survey were honoured this award in the category of Single cartographic product.
