Map of the year 2012 for the Czech Geological Survey

A CGS publication „Building and Decorative Stones of Prague and the Central Bohemia Region“ (authored by Barbora Dudíková and Jaroslav Valečka and digitally processed in GIS by Zuzana Krejčí) has been awarded a prestigious award Map of the year 2012 in the category of Single cartographic product. These awards are given by the Cartographic Society of the Czech Republic (this year for the 15th time). Award ceremony took place in the framework of the Book World Prague fair.
In the year 2007, another map from the production of the Czech Geological Survey was awarded this award – Geological Map of the Czech Republic 1 : 500 000 (authored by Jana Cháb, Zdeněk Stráník and Mojmír Eliáš and technically edited by Robert Tomas).
