To the order of the Ministry of Environment, the Czech Geological Survey started managing a new, three-year project of foreign development aid of the Czech Republic in June 2007. The project, called “The Regional Geological Research for the Purpose of Defining and Predictions of Natural Hazards in the Middle of Central America”, includes Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and El Salvador, and follows in our geologists’ previous activities in Nicaragua (1997–2006), El Salvador (2003–2005), and Costa Rica (2006).
