On April 11-12, the CGS held a meeting of geoinformatics of Central European geological services CE-GIC (Central Europe - Geoscience Information Consortium). IT and GIS experts from Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania and the Czech Republic met here. CGS staff presented the ongoing results of the CzechGeo/EPOS project, the 100th anniversary of the CGS and a proposal for a joint activity of Central European Geological Attractions. Other discussions were mainly devoted to the GeoERA Project Platform, INSPIRE implementation, and development of a 3D geological models visualisation.
