Training for Employees of the Geological Surveys of Bosnia and Herzegovina

An intensive training session for employees of the geological surveys of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place from April 2nd to 4th, 2025 at the Czech Geological Survey in Klárov. The event was held as part of the development project "Innovation of Geological Information Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
The three-day training, led by external contractors, focused on important areas for the modernization of geological information systems. On the first day, participants were introduced to the basics of working in the Drupal content management system, with an emphasis on website content management. The following two days were dedicated to training in the administration of the PostgreSQL database system (PostgreSQL Administration Training).
Two experts from the Geological Survey of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FZZG) and two from the Geological Survey of the Republika Srpska (RZZGI) participated in the training. These employees will be responsible for the implementation and management of the innovated systems. The content of the training corresponds to the goals of the development project, with an emphasis on ensuring the long-term sustainability of the innovated information systems even after its completion.
